Interviewed Kirsten Anderson, a PA Student at University of La Crosse, about the Application Process for PA School

Application Process

“I plan on applying to many different school and it’s so stressful. It’s difficult keeping track of all the specific requirements each school has. Some schools require certain classes and others don’t. They have different GPA requirements as well as work/volunteer experience. It’s also difficult because I have to apply to the school as well as the program. There are so many applications to fill out!”

“I think the easiest way to survive applying to grad school and survive undergrad years is to stay organized. My roomies always make fun of me because I write everything down. I have two different planners, one for work and one for school and I also combine them both into a google calendar.”

Interviewed a Physician's Assistant Student

I interviewed my cousin Jordan Block. He is at Central Michigan PA school, and will be going into surgery, after he finishes his schooling. Jordan shared an amazing resource with me, it was a PDF file of the 2013 AAPA salary report. This report give the annual salaries of PA’s around the U.S. The report is separated into two sections one is by the different fields of PA’s, and then those fields are subcategorized into different specialties. The second section is categorized by the different states. The two sections gives the annual salary over a certain amount of time.
